Watch the video of Bengal government trying to bury the dead – bodies of covid-19 patients.

A few days back, a Facebook friend shared me an incident with videos and pictures stating that the Bengal government is trying to burn dead bodies at midnight.

So the source said;

So this is a video of my area (in Kolkata). The longer video is of a cremation ground where I cremated my grandfather a couple of months back which is near my home. Some people in PPE kits were trying to burn some dead bodies their after midnight. Locals of my area is saying that this thing was going on from a couple of days.
Bengal government is doing everything to hide the real numbers of Covid-19 cases but videos will proove them wrong. Please spread this as much as possible.

I am not sure if the video is real or fake, read the blog and let me know.

The Migrant Conundrum |Poverty & Lockdown.

Over the past few weeks the most pressing matter the government is trying to handle is the migrant crisis that has arisen out of this lockdown. It seems that the government advisory mechanism was caught off guarded over repercussions of this lockdown from the migrant perspective.

To the flocking of thousands of migrants at Delhi-Ghaziabad border, to the staging protest in Surat, Andhra border or at Bandra in Mumbai. People have been protesting to arrange the government for their return to their natives. While the government has been suggesting staying put wherever they are, respective state government have been arranging return of their citizens.

A quick survey of migrant’s shelters reveals the horror. The Delhi police survey report states to Indian Express (April 28), that fans are not working, no power backup, sanitization of toilets rarely done, most migrants want to leave as their families cannot survive, rude behavior of civil staff, pathetic quality of food, no hand wash and sanitizer, foul smells in toilet, water supply in toilets only between 7 to 11am, one soap for bathing and no detergent to was clothes, mosquito bites and so on. If these are the conditions of voluntary camps, don’t even imagine the conditions of quarantine camps where one have no option but to stay.

This lockdown has left the marginal section who barely are lifted out of poverty at the helm of going back to poverty. With no job, no food and no means to send remittances to their family, it is natural that one gets frustrated. The grim pictures of migrants cycling or walking back on foot along with small children thousands of kms paints the reality of this lockdown. Remember, the lives exist out of gated society as well. The truth is government is yet to figure out the assistance of this section, and assistance if received have benefited only few.

Once, these people go back and settle, the MSME’s will be the hardest hit, which are dependent on these workforces. Once stopped, it is no easy job to restart a business. Indian railways have set off across country to bring back home the stranded migrants and estimates that 500 such trains will be needed across 15 days to get the job done. The state of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh have to huddle together as coordination with states are the major pain pointed out by the Railways. Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and West Bengal are also in the line.

Once this exercise is over, the next challenge of the government is to kick start the economy and feed its jobless citizens, in a country where malnutrition is entrenched, especially among children, there is a danger of hunger becoming widespread too. We all have anecdotal evidence that families are going hungry and some are starving too. While you can have food given to you by government, one just cannot give up his dignity and have no job but just food to eat even if given free by the government. A human need is much more than just-food.

Where we read disturbing news of people committing suicide because he wasn’t able to feed his family during lockdown.

On the other hand, jewellers are forced to sell vegetables so that they can survive from the lockdown crisis.

A food for thought!!.

While trying to find the root of hatred and absurdity by us, found Modi Ji is trying the same.

Last Sunday afternoon, i.e. 19th April, I found that a person from Arab tweeted Modi Ji by objecting on a BJP minister’s tweet.

The tweet was of Tejasvi Surya, who is a BJP MP and a lawyer at Karnataka High Court, a very young, handsome person who is into politics at this young age but maturity does come with age. He tweeted the post in 2015 and I just ignored it after reading the demeaning post, later in the evening I checked my notifications and found a new tweet from our Modi Ji.

COVID-19 does not see race, religion, colour, caste, creed, language or borders before striking.

Our response and conduct thereafter should attach primacy to unity and brotherhood.

We are in this together : PM

Narendra Modi

After reading, I felt that the leader is forced to tweet after seeing so much of hatred between people. Every day and in most of my blogs I have requested to get united and spread peace and harmony but now India might listen to him. I posted his tweet on my page and wrote a long caption as well.

I ignored the tweets and didn’t realise the hatred and abusive behaviour of our citizens have actually now taken a global issue. The friendly nation has started to protest and people from royal families, intellectuals and leaders have asked the prime minister to take care of this issue.

Now you can listen the audiovisual of this blog in my voice.

You can now listen to my blogs on youtube.

Channel: Romieducation

https://youtu.be/S2519xPxERY

Let’s understand the situation one by one:

How did it start?

It all started with the first major cause, an Indian named Saurabh Upadhay who runs a company in Dubai tweeted some provoking tweets. He had the guts to tweet by staying in that country.

He never thought in his dreams that his tweet might get so famous for all the wrong reasons as many did complaint to Dubai police and lately Princess of Sharjah tweeted on his post.

Later on, Saurabh Upadhyay apologised deleted his tweet and deleted his account.

but after then people started to dig in more tweets, several posts of Indian spreading hate speech and fake news were found. During this, the hateful, demeaning and disrespectful post of BJP MP Tejasvi Surya also came in front. He is actually a learned and literate person.

Many such old and nutty posts and comments were dragged after the incident.

Very sad, but I can see many of my educated friends stoop so low when I find their posts, on social media. I actually wonder are they just functionally literates and deliberate selective listener?

No facts, no logic they have, what they write is somehow baseless and not classy, it reminds me of the way slum people abuse by hitting below the belt.

So after analysis it was found out most of the hate speech, hate posts and comments were done by RSS, BJP leaders and aspirations who want to enter into politics.

But then, the BJP leader, Mr Narendra Modi has earned the respect and love from every country. He is a very popular leader and even Islamic counties adore him.

Even last year at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan, while addressing the rally he mentioned:

During the tenure of his government, India’s relationship with Gulf countries had improved. He highlighted that Muslim countries released many Indian prisoners, and Saudi increased Hajj quota because of India’s growing ties with the Islamic nations.

This became actually a matter of concern that friendly countries are now disappointed. If you see, India is sharing a very good relationship with Arab countries for years. That made our leader write a tweet.

Media which has been spreading so much poison and pouring in hatred into our minds might stop now. The trending hashtags might stop now.

But the question arrives, from where so much hatred came from? If our prime minister is so much loved and the BJP leaders have earned so much of respect then why BJP leaders and aspirants are spreading so much of hatred? So I thought to first understand and then explain it to you.

Evolution of Anti-muslim, hatred, communalism in BJP

Bharatiya Janta Party, my all-time favourite political party. I remember when I was a kid, Mr Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the prime – minister. I liked him so much, read all his poems used to hear his speech with my father. I was a huge fan and revered him as my imaginary grandfather. He became the hero of the nation as India won the war against Pakistan and then the atom bomb test. Later on, I got to know about a very promising and powerful leader who was the chief minister of Gujrat, always wanted him to be the prime minister of India and one day he did become the same. Like other citizens I also supported him but later on apart from demonetization, failure of make in India, another problem started to appear as the voice of communication, hatred and anti-muslim started to rise and now the coronavirus exposed the hatred in people’s mind.

After the promises failed, the economy slowed down Hinduism became the ultimate and most powerful weapon to rule successfully. Aggressive, brazen, disrespectful campaigns started to trend and run. Slowly and gradually during the second phase, religion became the primary subject to the rule and govern.

Crossed over into the domain of sanctioned communalism.

A journalist and novelist Indrajit Hazra wrote in the Times of India signalled the BJP in her statement.

Under Modi’s reign, terms like

  • Love Jihad
  • Jahil Jamatis
  • Anti-nationals
  • Calling terrorists to anyone
  • Desh-drohi
  • Any dissent go to Pakistan

got famous and the media plays a crucial role in it. It has now become a culture that if you want to enter into politics and become a part of the BJP party, just be Anti-muslim.

Now I know why learned, educated and intelligent people like Shashi Tharoor, Manmohan Singh yet stick with Congress though the leader is Rahul Gandhi.

Others like me, have become neutral because “whan Rahul hai to idhar ajib logo ka jhund hai”.

I read an opinion on The Washington Post, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi was sure on the sectarian strategy as he nominated Pragya Singh Thakur who was accused of participating in a terrorist attack

Pragya Singh Thakur:

She is popularly known as Sadhvi Pragya, a BJP leader who is accused of Malegaon blasts in 2008 which resulted in the killing of 10 people and leaving 82 people injured. She is currently under trial even then she got a chance to contest in 2019 elections from Bhopal and won her debut. On 28th Nov 19, she made a remarkable comment by saying Nathuram Godse as a patriot which was strongly opposed and she was sacked from Defense committee and BJP.

Amit Shah:

Amit Shah the modern Chanakya, threatened the Muslim migrants whom he called infiltrators and termites-if the party is re-elected. However, he assured the Muslims, not to worry even I do support CAB and CAA. With just a heavy population we cannot afford refugees or migrants irrespective of their religion.

Giriraj Singh:

The cabinet Minister of Animal husbandry and Fisheries resource development who started his political career from Bihar has remarked many statements against Muslim.

Our forefathers, however, committed a mistake. Had they ensured that all our Muslim brothers were sent to Pakistan and Hindus brought here, the need for such a move (CAA) would not have arisen. This did not happen and we have paid a heavy price for it.

Giriraj Singh

Those who cannot say Vande Mataram or cannot respect the motherland, the nation will never forgive them,

Giriraj Singh

Here I do agree with his statement if you are in India you must respect our motherland, national anthem, national song.

Being in India, living your livelihood, getting food shelter from India and then accusing is not at all accepted. When in India, respect as Indian does.

Though he has hurt Muslim sentiments in several other statements and not just Giriraj if you pick out MLA’s and MP’s and as I said BJP followers, aspirants they strongly put statements accusing Muslims.

Singh’s comment on the green colour was an insult to the national flag, ANI reported. “One ideology cannot be forcefully imposed on everyone,” Yadav had said.

According to Shekhar Gupta, the strong relationship he built with the Islamic governments helped him to outflank Pakistan. He built the relationship, maintained the friendship. For him and India these are very important relationships.

Until now, India was getting away with it under Modi because protest if was coming from Indian liberals, Indian west, Indian free press or Muslim intellectuals become pan Islamic not just the countries which are traditionally hostile to India or organization’s this is not coming from mainstream countries India is friends with. How valuable is that friendship is and how good that friendship is taking an example: India is the only country whose airlines is allowed to fly over Saudi Arabia to Israel.

Shekhar Gupta

The followers who are attacking by saying or posting Anti-muslim comments for their cheap thrills or consolidating Hindu votes that they were using by date is over now. I am now looking forward to the press and media stop poisoning our countrymen. The government is already taking actions and arresting people who are spreading communal hatred.

I think the young leader Mr Tajasvi will understand as well and people learn from the mistake. Such a young person having such a wonderful and promising career will try to unite all the religion again.

Yesterday I found a post where a person mentioned “Jahil Hindu” so first Hindus insulted Muslims by writing “Jahil Jamatis” “Jahil Muslims” now Hindus are also Jahil.

Another post, I read on Facebook by an aspirant who wants to enter into the political world posted comments that lacked knowledge and wrongly stated. The person accused Muslims of Palgarh Mob lynching so I expect that now people must understand that the Anti-muslim statement will take you nowhere.

Earlier the Arab world use to see India with suspicion but now India has fixed the relationship and is into damage control mode. This cannot be harmed again just because of amusement and abusing to get a political career.

Quarantine teams attacked in different states of India.

Naming just two major attacks, however, we have witnessed several other attacks against health workers and police officials in Ranchi and Indore as well.

On 19th April at evening, a team of health workers and policemen reached a ward in West Bengaluru’s Padarayanapura locality to take 58 people who came in contact with coronavirus confirmed patients.

The locality was sealed last week after 3 patients who attended the Tablighi Jamaat were tested positive.

When the team reached around 7 pm, the mob of around 200 people started removing the barricades. However, the city of learned people didn’t attack the crew members but damage of the property was reported.

By far, 54 people have been arrested.

  • In Moradabad, a mob of around 150 people came and started throwing stones over the team of doctors, attacked the ambulance and even attacked the cops, damaging the police car and ambulance. However, 17 attackers were arrested and immediate action was taken by the special court and ordered a 14-day judicial remand.

Apart from the very known attacks let’s check a few more such attacks:

As we can see ASHA workers attacked when they came to check for Corona symptoms.

On this, Karnataka chief minister assured to provide full security to Asha workers and other officials.
As Karnataka earlier announced a lockdown relaxation from April 21 was withdrawn partly later on.

Some other similar attacks took place in other states, have a look:
A tweet of cops attacked an injured was posted.

Four more shots, please! Is just not only about feminism. A must watch web-series.

Recently, I saw the ads of Four more shots, please! again. Last year, my friends did praise about the web-series but I assumed that it might be inspired by Kareena Kapoor’s Veerey Di Wedding and I decided to skip it because I wasn’t interested in watching any show based on feminism which shows how women have all rights to be badass.

This year, as we are in lockdown there is sufficient time to watch shows which varies by our taste.

So I started with Season 1 last Thursday night and finished the last episode of season 2 on Saturday afternoon.

I just loved the web-series. I tell you why?

Review in my way:

I am not going to write here the review for that you can just google it and find many articles and blogs on the same. Mine is a little twisted, I am not here to simply narrate the story but to make you understand why we must watch it. This web series is about four girls and the journey of their life. Why I liked the plot so much is because

  • All the actors have done justice to their acting.
  • Hats of to the leading ladies, all the four have justified their given roles and are a perfect fit.
  • Damini (Sayani Gupta), Umang (Bani J), Anjana (Kirti Kulhari) and Siddhi (Maanvi Gaagro) so the four girls met at a bar a few years back and bonded together.
  • The beautifully scripted storyline begins with someone’s success to others sorrow and sadness due to personal problems.
  • It actually shows the bond of friends and how important is it to have real friends in life.
  • Many of the times, we listen to others and do what pleases us because we trust a stranger more than others and we intentionally like to fall in the trap. Just like Anjana, who believed in someone.
  • Sidhi’s character shows how the family controls her since childhood and how she deals with body-shaming and finally starts to love herself.
  • In our society, we girls are grown and adapted the way our family and friends body-shame us, make fun of us. If we do something good, our own family doubt on our capabilities.
  • In my family, I am being fat-shamed and body-shamed since childhood. In many families, even in-laws mock and body-shame.
  • One of my cousins mocked at me for having readers and having fans on my page. Where this blog is even liked by Rangita Pritish Nandy and Maanvi Gagroo.
  • One of my knowns keeps abusing and threatening me when I give my views and opinions related to politics.

  • Though it was not required the way she gained the confidence, learned self-love and discovers her skills and abilities.
  • Bani J as Umang is a bisexual and falls in love with Samaira (Lisa Ray).
  • Umang’s character was actually interesting, it showed how she wanted to live her life with her own individuality. Being a Punjabi village girl she transformed herself, sustained and survived. Though her partner initially refused to admit their relationship later on everything goes well and they head towards marriage.
  • The one thing, that Umang said, at last, was not to choose a person who keeps career over you and try to mould someone according to own. I fully agree, there must be mutual concern and agreement. A relationship must always be equal in the sense of loving, adjusting, understanding, compromising and sacrificing. I can say that Bani was a real fit for the character.
  • Damini’s character is about a girl who is a journalist and founder of her company. She has a strong will, striking confidence, responsibility and maturity. Her, life shows different shades related to different topics be it office politics, anti-nationalism, righteousness. She is someone having a strong will-power, writing about and standing by the truth.

The story covers topics like misogyny, inequalities, trolling. It’s actually difficult for girls to survive even in Modern India where there are so many idiots in this world. Even on Facebook, so many people keep messaging, calling continuously unnecessarily from Facebook messenger.

https://romieducation.com/2020/04/11/what-are-the-celebrities-doing-during-the-lockdown/

  • Anjana is a lawyer and excellent at her work, however, her personal life is a total mess and she tries to fix out all the issues with her ex-husband. Trying to equally balance her life.
  • Being a successful lawyer, even she deals with the misogynistic behaviour of her boss. In my working career, even I have faced the same issue where higher authorities recommended my name for promotion based on my performance, but my immediate boss suggested a male colleague of mine because he could handle it better as he will not have to deal with home responsibilities.
  • Her character throws life about how difficult it is to raise a child, being a single mother, open relationship, infidelity, adultery.
  • I just loved her dress sense along with her makeover and lip-shades.

This is a complete entertainment during the lockdown. You can easily complete watching all the episode in just a days time.

Apart from the characters, you will love the editing, story-plot, sudden change of emotions in the storyline.

It’s a complete binge time for girls. You can rejuvenate your girl gangs memories while watching it and miss your friends.

Four more shots is bold, witty, fun to watch, delightful, glamourous, it gives you a message between all the glamour and shines of life.

Cinematography is very good.

While you are sitting at your homes you will be happy to virtually tour Istanbul, Jaipur, Goa and even you will love them to watch walking freely on streets and spending time in bars.

The web-series will remind you of FRIENDS as well. Just the coffee shop turned into a bar.

The series will make you miss your sleeping over at friends place, gossip and sharing.

Make you miss your friends and recollect the memories when they were with you during your wedding.

It will make you miss and encourage to plan a trip after things get normal.

To fight over religion, communalism & caste and allowing other countries to point a finger on us. Is this what we want?

This morning, I read that the US commission has raised their concerns over the way India is fighting against Coronavirus.

According to a media report, a government-running hospital in Ahmedabad has separated the infected places on the basis of religion.

On this, official Spokesperson, Ministry of External Affairs, India blasted out on USCIRF to stop adding religious colour to our national goal of fighting the COVID 19 pandemic.

As if it’s a peremptory commentary on religious freedom in India is not enough, the USCIRF is now spreading misguided reports on the professional medical protocols followed to deal with spread of COVID19 in India. It must stop adding religious colour to our national goal of fighting the pandemic and distract from larger efforts. No segregation is being done in Civil hospitals on the basis of religion, as clarified by the Gujrat Government.

Anurag Srivastava

After reading this, I have a few questions in my mind, please answer me:

Aren’t we giving a chance to other countries, to put allegation against us?

Aren’t we responsible to fight discrimination on the basis of religion?

Should not we stop discriminating on the basis of caste and creed?

Forget about this virus, haven’t we been fighting on the basis of religion earlier? This is what we are, we have been fighting for years and while this virus is killing people, no matter their caste, creed or religion.

I am a neutral person, I neither understand politics nor interested in understanding it.

Let’s read what Head of ICMR, Dr Raman GangaKhedkar tried to tell us. I am trying to make you understand on the basis of logical and scientific factors. Not on the basis of religion and politics, let me explain what’s going on, so please read and understand:

Worry is relative phenomena if you ask me the background, the first case was on 27th January today we are exactly two and half months into the outbreak, you know the population density of our country, high level of migration that we have in our country, the proportion of people below the poverty line and staying in slums if you look at the world today, they are extremely worried how India is not showing so many cases.

Raman GangaKhedkar

If you compare our country with Italy, Spain, China at this point they were in the much worse stage. We are trying to flatten the curve. If you compare India with the US, they are economically much stronger than us.

Please understand the government has taken such a brave initiate. Our country is not as economically developed as the US, Europe, China yet more than 2.5 lac people have been tested.

The government immediately shut all businesses because life is more valuable than the economy and money.

So now why are we creating such nuisance?

Let’s forget about Muslims, aren’t we Hindus discriminate and abuse on the basis of caste, creed and culture? Intact state-wise basis within our own religion?

A Bengali brahmin girl fell in love with a Bihari brahmin boy. Now, read this carefully, this is a real-life story. They tried to convince their parents to earn their blessings and get married. Though the caste is same, religion is also the same now what was the issue :

  • They are from different states
  • The neighbouring States having cultural differences
  • Bihar was a part of Bengal once as Pakistan was a part of India but the same rivalry between the Bihari and Bengali is there.

So it became a continuous process, both the parties by that I mean the boy and the girl vs parents don’t come to the mutual track, they kept on fighting, arguing & convincing.

On the other side, the wind started to blow differently, family politics began, family members started to demean and disrespect each other. They try to break the bond by any possible means be it playing with emotions, character assassination, fabricating lies, mentioning names, body-shaming and so on.

So when both the families fight, many will sit and relax and enjoy the scene, some will take advantage out of it. People start commenting on the same way the US did.

This is how today our India is fighting, let not the rest of the world takes advantage out of it.

What’s wrong with Indians?

  • Is it so difficult to understand and obey the simple rules?
  • Team of doctors and health officials were pelted stones in different parts of our country.
  • Group of Nihangs, chopped off the hand of a police officer.
  • Recently, in Moradabad, a mob of around 150 people came and started throwing stones over team of doctors, attacked the ambulance and even attacked the cops, damaging the police car and ambulance.
  • However, 17 attackers have been arrested till now.

Salman Khan message to the nation-Do or Die

Salman Khan’s first interview for COVID-19 was published yesterday. He addressed the nation and raised his concerns.

You can watch the full video on YouTube:

Link:https://youtu.be/tiQ4huz7NG4

He requested the citizens to stay at home, worship and pray at home.

Do you want to decrease the population of India starting with your own family?

-Salman Khan

He praised the doctors, bankers and all those who are working every day for us during this lockdown phase just to provide ease and support.

Let’s not fight, let’s not demean, time and again I am requesting the literates and educated mass of our society to get united and fight against Coronavirus, not with Communavirus or communa cancer.

Is the government to be blamed or workers getting impatient?

If you are watching the situation we can see a massive gathering in Bandra, Mumbai. The Mumbai migrants have gathered in large numbers, social distancing and safety of policemen went for the toss.

The gathering of people in such large numbers, cramped in spaces and sent back to their natives such as Bihar, UP, MP and Rajasthan defeats the purpose of lockdown and increases the risk of even wider spread in states where health infrastructure is already in a dismal state. A couple of weeks back, when there was a disaster in the capital of India, Mumbai was quite silent and managed then as the state government assured to provide with food and shelter.

The labours were waiting for the lockdown to end, as it extended till 3rd of May, stranded migrants who were waiting to return home, gathered at Bandra West station demanding return to their natives. The police had to resort lathi-charge to disperse the crowd.

Must read:

India Today TV spoke to Maharashtra Cabinet minister Aslam Sheikh who assured that there was no dearth of food for the migrants in the city.

Now after reading and hearing all this information, here I want to understand the actual reason for all the chaos.

Is Mumbai going to be another trigger point of mass Exodus jeopardizing the effect of lockdown?

This is not about the free meal or shelter the government is providing, their entire life has changed. They are frustrated, anxious with the uncertainties looming around them.

In my 20 years in Mumbai, I have never seen such a sight

Gopal Das| The Hindu

I read an editorial of The Hindu, where he mentioned a person from Bhagalpur, Bihar who is a construction worker attempted to board the last few trains from Mumbai station to their homes but failed. Let me, share the same with you:

Gopal is from Bhagalpur, Bihar. He said he and his friends spent nearly four hours trying to get tickets. “A few people who had clambered on to the trains fell on the platform. A little later, we heard that all the trains had been cancelled. Since there was no public transport, we walked for three hours to our room in Bandra (East) with ₹250 in our pockets. We were still hoping they would start the trains. We didn’t think it would last this long,” he said.

The Hindu

I was taken aback by the videos and pictures of people shoving each other to get into trains. It reminded me of “Gadar” movie wherein one scene people were flocking in numbers to save lives after independence.

Voice of the labours

The labours do not wish to continue the same way leaving isolated and separated with their families. They are now demanding a way out of it, food and shelter are not what they want now as a prime thing. What they want is to facilitate transportation to their respective towns and villages.

Maharashtra Minister, Aditya Thackeray tweeted his opinion and seemed to have blamed the central government.

The current situation at Bandra station, now dispersed or even the rioting in Surat is a result of the Union Govt not being able to take a call on parenting a way back home for migrant labour. They don’t want food or shelter, they want to go back home.

Aditya Thackeray

Is this the right time to play the blame game and accuse the central government?

Moreover, some ministers are also pointing that there is problem with adequate food supply as well.

What might be the actual reason for the sudden outbreak in the evening? Are some kind of panic being created or fake news spread over WhatsApp and other social media?

Police are trying to find out the real reason as our prime minister addressed the nation this morning and the gathering happened in the evening so what might be the actual reason.

My questions are:

What is the reason for Mumbai Lockdown mess?

The police was continuously requesting the migrants to maintain social distance.

According to Republic TV, people are not getting rations. A man showed a list to the camera where there is a list of 5000 people asking for rations.

Is the government not providing adequate amount of ration, food and shelter?

How did state let so many people gather?

There are all type of negative shady characters and incidents that helps the CoronaVirus to spread in mass. Minutes after this happened public figures and ministers stated that the incident is anti-public and anti-poor blaming the central government and Modi.

The social media was flooded with memes and news comparing Surat incident and Mumbai incident.

So as Arnab Goswami mentioned in his debate, was the violation planned?

Is it not about going home, it’s about food and shelter?

An activist Kavita Krishnan tweeted and compared the Bandra incident with Surat and blamed the central government. She mentioned

At Surat, then at Bandra, migrant workers gathered to ask to go home have been dispersed by force.

Gujarati tourists we’re brought from Haridwar thanks to @AmitShah, as have Indians from foreign shores, but Modi won’t even mention migrants?

Kavita Krishnan

As she also tweeted

Modi lied this morning claiming India screened passengers early to slow down Covid-19.

When 20 counties reported Covid-19, India only screened passengers from China, Hong-kong, that too, only thermal screening for fever, not testing them for Covid-19.

Kavita Krishnan

Seeing her tweet, I wanted to dig more about her. The media and the entire country is now divided between two teams. Some are Modi-supporters and the other half Anti Modi. Also to add a third team which is neutral including me, we are observing the situation, obeying the rules and seeking questions.

So after reading all her tweets and then I found an article on Google, published by The Print.

It mentioned a video that Indian media is not doing journalism. An activist Kavita Krishnan on her video mentioned about a show titled ‘Madrasa hotspots’ in India today.

Channels from Zee News, Aaj Tak to Network18 like to add the word ‘jihad’ to everything. Corona jihad or zameen jihadlove jihadarthik jihad, and whatnot. But if anyone is waging a holy war today, it is Indian media’s jihad against Indian Muslims and Islam.

The Print

Even now, if you check the live news on YouTube citizens are fighting over hindu-muslim. Yesterday I raised a simple concern about Prime-minister’s speech asking about the motive which ended up by abusing each other. No one even bothered to understand and share their opinion it became a fight of Modi or no Modi.

Today, we might blame migrants for being impatient. We might blame anti social elements to create disturbance in society. We might blame it as a pre-planned operation by opposition. Reason could be many. But what is common that we failed to understand that there is a dissent brewing and it is not about just food and shelter. It is inherent human nature to be insecure, desperate to meet the loved ones and have a hope, which they don’t see today.

Coronavirus-Global current update|Nihang’s case

The global confirmed cases of Coronavirus have now skyrocketed to 2,831,785 cases according to John Hopkins Coronavirus resource centre, with cases the in US and Italy outnumbering that of China. It has to be noted that it took just 1 day for the cases to increase by 0.1 million.

Confirmed cases in the US and Europe are spreading like wildfire and there seems to be no stopping to it. India which has 24000+ confirmed cases as of now is bracing for much more as the rate of testing has been increased by the government. United States, Italy and Spain are reeling under the pain of the loss of lives.

The US has passed a bill of the record $2.2 trillion to fight this, with confirmed cases surpassed 5,61,103 and around 22106 deaths.

Current cases in India as per today’s statistics is 24000+ Out of which, 5,063 have recovered.

India extended the lockdown, yet the upcoming news shows very clearly that it could have been implemented much better also it might extend.

Migrants flocking in thousands at bus terminals, having been walked for days to reach bus stands, some being run over by Trucks on road, dying of exhaustion as they walk all the way hundreds of kilometres to their natives and some surviving only on biscuits and water due to this lockdown.

The gathering of people in such large numbers, cramped in spaces and sent back to their natives such as Bihar, UP, MP and Rajasthan defeats the purpose of lockdown and increases the risk of even wider spread in states where health infrastructure is already in a dismal state. The government in the meanwhile issued numerous statements ranging from Bihar government to establish shelters over other states to Delhi government saying all migrants in Delhi are Delhiites and it is their responsibility, yet not an iota of any actions was taken. In the meantime, we see Indian again resorting to frugal yet efficient methods of combating like trains being converted to makeshift quarantine field hospitals.

Nihang’s case

This Sunday, a group of Nihangs chopped off the hand of a police officer Harjeet Singh who is an assistant sub-Inspector, injuring 3 others policemen as well.

It took 7.5 hours of plastic surgery and successfully the doctors reattached his hand. Again our doctors proved that they are the superheroes and God.

People have tweeted their opinions in this case.

Sunday’s incident of lawlessness can be attributed to the fact that the Nihangs only wish to follow orders of the Guru and perhaps consider orders from the administration an attack on their sovereignty, a scholar said.

The world is scrambling to find a cure, economies are in a dismal state, destitute having faced double whip of loss of jobs and no access to food and water. This virus does not differentiate between your economic status or stature and has not spared even the Prince and the Prime minister of Britain. The good news is that he is recovering.

Boris Johnson

The incident of Tablighi Jamaat and later on gave the pandemic a new turn in India is Communavirus. When the World is only dealing with Coronavirus, we are actually dealing with communalism and novel COVID-19 at the same time along with poverty, low economy and lots more.

Domestic Violence has increased during lockdown.

There are two sides to every coin, on one side you find a happy relationship where the married couples are happy as they are able to spend time together.

As we are in the lockdown phase, many women are stuck to their houses, everyone doesn’t seem to have a simple and happy life. Some do survive in this toxic environment, where they are abused by family members and as everyone has not much now, some become victim and a few love to create problems.

Must read:

While people are avoiding the virus, they are also facing challenges by staying at home. Children are giving a hard time as they need a lot of attention and care, they love to play and get some time with friends. The lockdown has forced the kids to stay at home. They either watch television the whole day, fight with siblings, play at home or other problems.

During office con calls, I hear the voices of my seniors whole time asking their kids to be silent.

The kids don’t understand why their parents are unable to give them time when they are at home.

Women are in a greater risk of becoming a victim and similar incidents have been reported from different countries.

Based on my learnings from different articles shared by News18, The New York times, psychiatrists, views of my lawyer friends, opinions of some other friends and family members of mine, I thought of writing and sharing some useful tips:

But before I share the tips let’s first understand what are the different forms of abuse:

Abuse is not just about power and control, people do it out of the purpose to create troubles in other’s lives as well. A few families member can take advantage of this situation to create troubles in several ways, let’s see how:

  • Not providing shelter, driving them away from their house. Say Corona or no corona effect, we have witnessed such events where family members forced their daughter-in-law to leave the house which led her to live a miserable life.
  • Emotional and verbal abusing: Now as there is not much work, people have time, and instead of building and maintaining a healthy relationship a few choose to abuse others.
  • Family politics has increased, people have more time to call each other, gossip and play with other’s emotions leading to domestic terrorism or intimate terrorism.

I was taken aback when I read that a few are not providing masks to the women, allow them to wash hands or use sanitizer. They send the women out to buy groceries thinking that she might get infected by the virus and die.

Can you believe that? These Covidiots, don’t understand that if she contracts the same, all in her contact will also gets the same.

Many counties across the world like the UK, Brazil, Spain, China, the US, Italy, France, Australia etc are reporting a panicking rise.

As the burden of work for women has increased, rather than raising the hand to help, the perpetrators are loving to enjoy the time relaxing.

According to a sociologist who studies abusive relationships, domestic violence goes up whenever families spend more time together, such as the Christmas and summer vacations, she said.

As entire India is in a lockdown state, Neha found herself all the time in the kitchen working all the time and trying to resolve the problems or fighting with her husband.

In another house, Fatima is holding her 3 years and 11 years old child, her husband began to beat her and locked her along with the children in a room. The kids and mother are starving for three days.

Somewhere in Delhi, Twinkle’s husband got frustrated as he is unable to meet his friends, drink alcohol and enjoy outside food and releases his frustration on his wife, the poor girl was bleeding and marks were all over her body. As his husband chocked her, her neck was in pain.

According to a Beijing-based NGO dedicated to combating violence against women says that there are cases reported of insecure husbands, who are keeping their wives under surveillance.

My opinion:

I feel the cases are rising in countries like America, China and the UK as the women are brave enough to take a stand. In India, whenever a woman wants to make a decision, she first thinks about society, parents and children. Calling the police will be the last option.

According to The Guardian, in Hubei province, domestic violence has tripled down.

If you are reading this, please imagine:

  • Staying in fear with a person yet limited options to move away
  • Getting body-shamed and fat-shamed
  • Deliberate poking by family members to create trouble.
  • Abusing and criticising
  • Stating comments
  • Controlling by every means
  • Sexual assault.

A home which is the safest place to many but a few are trapped inside with an abuser.
