Approx 2500 foreigners who attended the Tablighi Jamaat has been blacklisted by Ministry of Home Affairs for ten years. They were staying in India during the lockdown. Also, they were found illegally leaving in mosques.
Enforcement Directorate has filed an FIR for money laundering against Maulana Saad.
While, we all have different beliefs and practices, and we take comfort in religion and its practices, this is not the first time that religion has led to create havoc to humanity, society and the whole world.
Case in point is the irresponsible behaviour of particular sect in muslim community, The Tablighi jammat, which has led to sharp rise in the number of cases in India and has endangered further spread. Not just India, Tablighi congregation has led the spread the various in Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei and Pakistan as well. For the first time the city of Raiwind in pakistan is under complete lockdown due to the same.
Recently a video of famous educator and innovator Sonam Wangchuk went viral, calling people for complete boycott of China made products.
It is not just Coronavirus which can spread like a wildfire. In this age of Internet, videos go viral reaching entire nation in matter of single day as well.
Before we dwell more into Sonam’s call for boycott, let me inform you that Chinese business is badly is affected even before the end customers shout out for boycott. I remember in March when the lockdown had just begun, many Chinese friends of mine did share that Indian traders are avoiding them, blaming China for the virus and how it has affected India badly.
Not just India, it has become difficult for China to sell to other countries as well, including cancellation of many contracts. Some of my friends who are small time manufacturers and suppliers are so badly hit that they have to sell their houses just to pay debt for being harassed by loan providers.
But again, as the lockdown 2.0 was called off in India, many distributors have started buying chinese made masks and other hygiene products to be sold in India.
A few months ago, I was shared a WeChat fight where Indian trader was fighting with her Chinese supplier alleging the China to creating this problem and hampering his source of income and hardship. On which, the lady got furious and made racist comments and depicted India as a third world country. Even I did share a similar incident in a blog where a Chinese argued with me claiming the virus didn’t originate in China and how his country is helping the world fight this pandemic.
The problem is not with ordinary Chinese citizens, they are just like us. They don’t even know that the entire picture and say what they are being fed by state controlled media.
All they know that China is in Cold-war with the US and it is the one painting bad picture of China around the world.
As far as I know, given the fact that neither I am a journalist nor a well know columnist. All of my statements are based on what subject matter experts, reliable columnists, scientists, journalists, activists speak or write.
As also mentioned in my previous blog, China is trying to create tension in its neighbourhood be it India, Australia, Vietnam, Philippines to give a double folded message. First it is disturbing those countries who more or less have either sided with the US or will support given the chance. Second, it wants to give clear message to these countries as well as the world about who the Big Brother is, and the consequences you have to bear by going against China.
The Boycott movement did not start via Sonam Wangchuk, as soon as the Modi government came to power, it has always emphasized to go local. Make in India is a direct threat to China, although the effect intensified with the lockdown and the clarion call by Sonam Wangchuk.
This developments did have effects on Chinese products sale in India and many B2B aggregator companies saw delisting of Chinese suppliers from their platform.
Any developing nation’s market will have a significant dependency on cost as a factor. Given the size of India and its massive middle & rural class buyers, we Indians keep buying China made cheap products. Any Indian trader only moves to China because it provides cheap low quality products which has the potential to sell among the taste of Indian consumer. On why we Indian manufacturers are not able to match the same, is a different discussion in itself. This lockdown has dented the sale here as well for China due to boycott.
Question is why China is now instigating India, why when its own hands are full of Coronavirus claims, pre-Cold war phase with US, Hong-Kong fiasco and South China sea issue. There are multiple reasons to it.
First, it is giving India a stern message who’s the Boss and especially after India’s bonhomie with US, given the fact that Mr. Modi did make a statement that WHO needs recasting hinting that it is controlled by China.
Second, it was bound to happen, and one needs to be Geopolitically ignorant to let go of the fact that our Home minister have been making many statements and we have taken many actions. Ladakh was made Union territory and many contested areas like Pangong Tso lake are part of it. Moreover, Mr. shah did make statement that they will do whatever it takes to get back Aksai Chin. The Chinese were listening and were just waiting for the snow to melt and kick into action.
Third, President Xi is today at his weakest as his own strictly controlled people are questioning him at-least on Social media and he is being challenged internally. What’s better than the best way to deviate the topic from his own failure and do a time-tested method of regaining power by inciting nationalism in the population through skirmish with other countries. Recently president Xi, addressed the Chinese army that it should be ready for war as Coronavirus issue is threatening the nations security.
Recently, in a physiological war, a Chinese channel broadcasted a video showing 6 Indian soldiers tied and beaten up followed by racist comments. A same reciprocal video is being circulated in India where Chinese soldiers were being tied & beaten up. A lot of Pakistani’s did not lose the chance to bank on this and made fun with memes.
Today however, I am not discussing the cold war but the “wallet war” and “Chinese boycott”. Not going deep dive, let’s try to find out the answers to few questions:
Is it practically possible to completely boycott Chinese products where we just don’t have local manufacturing?
Even though a final product might not be assembled in China, the parts are made in China itself. How to deal with these products. That’s the exact reason India backed out to RCEP.
While we want to be vocal about local, we can’t simply ignore the fact which shows the majority of these products in our homes are some or other way linked to China.
How ready are we even after many years of Make in India initiatives?
While a lot of people are rallying and supporting the cause, a new app has been launched which scans and removes all the Chinese apps that one is using. In no time, millions of people downloaded the app with enviable rating of 4.8. It’s hashtag started trending in twitter and I will share some reviews I found over there.
This is how twitter is reacting.
Many celebrities have joined the rally on banning Chinese apps like Milind Suman, Arshad Warsi and even some TikTok stars as well.
The main agenda and motive here is to make the real Dragons the citizens of China to wake up and question their suppressive reign.
It is not just the fault of China by inventing and launching a social media app. Two yrs. ago, when I got introduced to this app, even I made lip-syncing video but later felt that it is not suitable for me. I even tried launching my English classes videos as suggested by a Chinese friend but it didn’t encourage and motivate me as the blogging did.
Chinese use TikTok for their business a have become a huge platform over commercial purposes. On the flip side in India, we saw disturbing videos encouraging acid attacks, rape, animal violence, religious fanatism and many such acts. Recently the founder of TikTok ‘Zhang Yiming’ said in an interview that he made the app for “jobless and unstable people” but he didn’t knew that India had so many. It is not just jobless, even employed, students, stable people mostly use this to showcase their talent limited to dance and drama. At the end, we are all “papa ki pari”.
This blog has become too long to continue with more discussions. Allow me, to resume in the next chapter because we have too much to discuss a boycott of Chinese products, China-India LAC issue. Upcoming Cold war and World War-3.

The entire nation is now talking about the package of 20 lac crore our honourable prime minister has announced.
We can see a lot of articulation, calculation, doubts, speculation is there in people’s mind. Everyone is trying to understand how will the finance minister provide and chart a plan for the huge amount that our Prime Minister has announced.
From where we received so much assured amount?
The entire nation was asking for financial support from the government and the government was silent. Was it preparing to arrange such a huge amount and a proper plan?
What will be the effect of the amount provided to different sectors? Will it change the lifestyle of us Indians?
How the amount will make us self-reliant?
Let’s try to find out all the answers but before I proceed I will mention that I am not an economist, I have read and heard about the same and gathered some information and simply compiling them with my additional opinion just to share with you.
Let’s first understand what the package is all about and which sectors it will cover.
The package and planning was already in the minds of government, the government was waiting for the right time. It actually wanted this plan to have a proper direction and wanted to give the objective and outcome desired a proper name and hence the delay.
I am saying this because a few days ago, I listened to one interview with Nitin Gadkari where he said that the government is planning to provide support and help to the SME’s and MSME’s.
The exact details of the economic package announced by the government are not yet known but we can speculate that the amount must be from the government’s borrowings, funds and printing of currency notes in nearby future.
The package will cover:
Land, labour, liquidity and laws
The package will support business and where self-reliance actually comes, if you have listened to his speech, he said:
The locals have helped us during the pandemic. Now it’s time to be vocal for the local.
The package will support India’s cottage industries, home industries, micro small and medium enterprises.
I thought of using the waste bottles and paint them during this lockdown to decorate my garden and living room. […]
This is utter truth that in this lockdown few factors constantly kept working; our local grocery shops, local vegetable shops and the online apps. The nearby pharmacy store was open to providing us with medicines. The farmers kept working day and night to feed the country. Before Covid India did not make even a single PPE kits, and today we are self reliant. He said:
The package is for the country’s labour, farmers who have worked in every circumstances, for the countrymen and the middle class who pays taxes honestly and for the industries.
Now the campaign name comes ” ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’ this is actually going to play an important part. As discussed earlier in my blog of labour law where the UP government changed the crisis into a good crisis. Similarly, India can also take this opportunity and try to be self sufficient. India is a capable manufacturer yet we purchase so many products from other neighbouring countries now it’s the time where we come self-reliant.
The decision of the RBI and the package is total of approx 10% of india’s GDP.
The reforms include a supply chain system for agriculture, rational tax system, simple and clear laws, capable human resources and strong financial system.
The package will cover the migrants both in the organised and unorganised sector.
Going In-depth :
The package includes all the pre-proposed and previously announced measures to save the economy in lockdown.
The relief package announced by India is huge, it stands in top 5 of the financial package announced by the United States which is 13% of its GDP and Japan 21% of its GDP and other nations.
The 20 lac package includes the 1.7 lac crore of food grains provided to poor and cash to the elderly and women already announced in March.
It includes the Reserve Bank’s liquidity measures and interest rate cuts with some of them already rolled out.
That’s why in the beginning I said the decision was not made overnight, the government was working on it step by step, analyse all the advantages, disadvantages and situation before bringing this campaign.
As per the Economic Times, an additional 12 lac crore will be pumped into the economy.
Giving full tax exemption will give new investment opportunities to the sectors like medical devices, electronics, telecom equipment and capital goods.
There can be easy access to land and labour reforms, to attract companies invest in India and set up their manufacturing plants and industries. Let’s see how the government will provide lands.
If actually, this happens, if giant industries take interest in setting up a business in India as we can provide both blue & white collared manpower, there will be growth in business and employment opportunities hence India can actually turn the table.
According to him, a self-reliant India stands on five pillars which will bring in quantum jump.
What is Quantum jump?
Quantum jump is basically a proverb that means a sudden, noticeable and significant advance.
The other factors will be infrastructure, technology-driven system, vibrant demography and demand.
Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman will meet the prime minister on Thursday to finalise the economic package.
A few days back, a Facebook friend shared me an incident with videos and pictures stating that the Bengal government is trying to burn dead bodies at midnight.
So the source said;
So this is a video of my area (in Kolkata). The longer video is of a cremation ground where I cremated my grandfather a couple of months back which is near my home. Some people in PPE kits were trying to burn some dead bodies their after midnight. Locals of my area is saying that this thing was going on from a couple of days. Bengal government is doing everything to hide the real numbers of Covid-19 cases but videos will proove them wrong. Please spread this as much as possible.
I am not sure if the video is real or fake, read the blog and let me know.
Click on the link to watch the full video from the timeline:
Over the past few weeks the most pressing matter the government is trying to handle is the migrant crisis that has arisen out of this lockdown. It seems that the government advisory mechanism was caught off guarded over repercussions of this lockdown from the migrant perspective.
To the flocking of thousands of migrants at Delhi-Ghaziabad border, to the staging protest in Surat, Andhra border or at Bandra in Mumbai. People have been protesting to arrange the government for their return to their natives. While the government has been suggesting staying put wherever they are, respective state government have been arranging return of their citizens.
A quick survey of migrant’s shelters reveals the horror. The Delhi police survey report states to Indian Express (April 28), that fans are not working, no power backup, sanitization of toilets rarely done, most migrants want to leave as their families cannot survive, rude behavior of civil staff, pathetic quality of food, no hand wash and sanitizer, foul smells in toilet, water supply in toilets only between 7 to 11am, one soap for bathing and no detergent to was clothes, mosquito bites and so on. If these are the conditions of voluntary camps, don’t even imagine the conditions of quarantine camps where one have no option but to stay.
This lockdown has left the marginal section who barely are lifted out of poverty at the helm of going back to poverty. With no job, no food and no means to send remittances to their family, it is natural that one gets frustrated. The grim pictures of migrants cycling or walking back on foot along with small children thousands of kms paints the reality of this lockdown. Remember, the lives exist out of gated society as well. The truth is government is yet to figure out the assistance of this section, and assistance if received have benefited only few.
Once, these people go back and settle, the MSME’s will be the hardest hit, which are dependent on these workforces. Once stopped, it is no easy job to restart a business. Indian railways have set off across country to bring back home the stranded migrants and estimates that 500 such trains will be needed across 15 days to get the job done. The state of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh have to huddle together as coordination with states are the major pain pointed out by the Railways. Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and West Bengal are also in the line.
Once this exercise is over, the next challenge of the government is to kick start the economy and feed its jobless citizens, in a country where malnutrition is entrenched, especially among children, there is a danger of hunger becoming widespread too. We all have anecdotal evidence that families are going hungry and some are starving too. While you can have food given to you by government, one just cannot give up his dignity and have no job but just food to eat even if given free by the government. A human need is much more than just-food.
Where we read disturbing news of people committing suicide because he wasn’t able to feed his family during lockdown.
On the other hand, jewellers are forced to sell vegetables so that they can survive from the lockdown crisis.
After Amit Shah, now Dr Indranil Basu Ray who is an Indian-American cardiologist has written a letter to Mamta Banerjee.
I am compelled to point out the fact that as West Bengal is exceptionally crowded, the virus, if it infects a particular locality, will spread like wildfire, affecting thousands and killing quite a few.We cannot take anything for granted as you will regret if thousands are infected, and hundreds start dying because of a lack of strictness in preventing the spread and appropriate detection of COVID-19.
Indranil Basu Ray
By now, West Bengal has more than 2060+ cases. Indranil also added:
Hushing up such infection and not taking appropriate precautions like isolation would lead to death and destruction, which I certainly know that you would not like as the Chief Minister of my state,
Indranil Basu Ray
If we check the state-wise list of confirmed patients in India after Maharashtra Gujarat is the second state to have the highest number of covid-19 patients while West Bengal is at 8th position with 2000+ cases so why so many letters are been written to Mamta?
Are all the people biased and trying to just target Mamata?
It’s because of the number of cases might be more but the state is hiding the actual numbers?
I am getting a lot of messages and request to write something on the way West-Bengal is dealing with Coronavirus. People from Bengal are asking my opinion and thoughts on the same. It’s sad that the citizens of West-Bengal are upset and worried by the way the state government is handling the situation.
On this blog, I am just sharing my analysis, it will be too early for me to put forward any opinion for such a sensitive cause.
Let’s start the journey of analysis with me and find out together.
These are my questions which came to my mind. Help me to find answers.
Are political leaders with decades-old rivalries still playing politics during this pandemic?
What the fight is all about? Is it ego or insecurity?
If Mamta is playing politics at this situation, will it hit back?
While students are tweeting Mamta to bring them back from Kota, why she has not taken any steps yet?
Only the two states, Bihar and WB don’t want their students and migrants back, why?
Will politics affect the common man?
Are sweets so vital for Bengalis, that they won’t be able to survive for a few days that the government is bound to open meat markets and sweet shops?
Is Centre really trying to intervene and blame Mamta?
The central government decided the hotspots without survey and statistics, how?
Why didn’t centre sent teams to MP or Gujarat first, as they sent to Kolkata?
As Mamata and supporters are continuously saying that they lack PPE kits and testing kits because of the biased government, is that true?
Why it is taking 5 days for test results to come out in Bengal when it is 2 days for other states.
Let’s try to find out the answers in this blog.
What happened till date in West Bengal?
On 4th march, Mamata alleged that people are creating chaos over CoronaVirus to suppress the riots in Delhi. She said;
“Today some people are shouting corona, corona [coronavirus] a bit too much. Yes, it’s a dreaded disease but doesn’t create panic. Some (TV) channels are creating hype over it to suppress Delhi violence.
On 17th March, a young boy was detected positive for COVID-19 in West Bengal who returned from London. This was the first case reported.
On the 18th of March, she asked people not to be irresponsible if they are having CoronaVirus symptoms also she ordered the state police to take stern action those who are spreading fake news.
On the earlier days of lockdown, even the media and the opposition parties applauded the way she addressed the media and people of West-Bengal. Mamta did announce that the state government will create a fund of 200 crores to deal with coronavirus.
By 25th March, the entire Kolkata Medical college was turned into medical facility to treat COVID-19 patients.
Now how the game changed? Let’s understand.
Politics- A dangerous game to play during this pandemic.
Coronavirus did change the course of Indian politics. Along with that, also exposed not only the mentality of politicians and media people but also the common men.
We are not just bearing brunt of economic crisis but the world is burning with communists and brutal and ruthless Indians.
Whenever I see the photo of the poor Hindu monk’s face who got killed by the mob at Palghar I do shiver that how people killed a person to death. The wound was not even healed and today I read another news of the death of 2 more Hindu monks.
Mamata Banerjee in the early days of April said that Coronavirus is not a communal disease and politics must not be indulged into it.
Later on, she mentioned that the areas must not be divided as hotspots. Where the whole country was fighting with coronavirus, recognizing hotspots and seal them she, on the other hand, gave it a term “sensitive areas”.
Is this because of her Muslim vote bank?
If we see the past and learn from it, Narendra Modi has always been known for turning unfavourable circumstances in his favour. As he is taking strong steps and trying to save his citizens from the virus even the entire world is praising him. This is the golden opportunity for BJP to enter into the West Bengal. If we see the history, BJP never ruled West-Bengal. We saw in 2014 when BJP got only 2 seats and in 2019 BJP managed to get 18 seats out of 42 which was remarkable. TMC has to be worried about this surge and any mismanagement can lead them to lose the next election.
The Bengal Chief Minister was clear of locking horns with the Prime Minister since the beginning of the fight against Coronavirus. She refused the plea of lighting lamps. Although she left the decision of lighting lamps to the citizens of the respective state. Most of the people switched off the lights for 9 minutes but didn’t lit lamps or candles as far as I know. When I spoke with few, I was surprised to know that they did not light the candles because of fear of retaliation.
What we are seeing, the only state government which turned out to be doing bizarre acts to control COVID-19. Where everyone is requesting including the prime minister to get united Mamata is holding daily press conferences to claim and state how the state is discriminated. Is that so?
TMC claims that the government is biased towards West-Bengal.
Let’s see if the government is biased. What steps the government has taken by far for the states:
Government of India has allowed states for additional borrowing and the limit is set at GSDP of States as per fiscal responsibility and FRBM act.
The government of India has ensured that they will give free treatment to COVID-19. Every state has set-up quarantined centres but Mamata is asking the people to stay put and quarantine themselves in their own homes because it’s difficult to arrange facilities for everyone. But what if the situation gets out of control and we need immediate medical assistance.
The government is providing PPE kits of International standards to every state. Where Mamata raised her questions on the colour of PPE kits and on the other side, media reported misuse of PPE kits.
The blog has already become too long to read. Let me cover the rest of the topics on my upcoming blogs related to Mamata dealing with Coronavirus.
It is high time that the politicians forget about politics and fight against the deadly virus which is mutating very fast. Scientist have already reported that the virus has mutated 10 times by now.
Otherwise, if anyone has watched Game of Thrones it will be difficult to win over the virus. As from the first season of GOT, we know “Winter is coming” but the rulers we’re so busy winning over lands and ruling that even though the finally defeated the nightwalkers, it left disastrous results.
